Like the years before this year as well the Prague Dragon Boat Club is proudly presenting the dragon boat festival:


PRAGUE DRAGON AUTUMN 2011

7th year of festival that merges dragon boats sport, entertainment, fun and culture will be held on Saturday

10th September 2011

at the rowing stadium area on Cisarska louka island in Prague.

This year the festival will be presented you in new one-day format. But this one day will be full of sport, full of culture and full of entertainment as well.

The sport part of the festival will offer you races on traditional IDBF certificated hongkong style boats but also race on traditional indonesian boats. Both short and long races will be organized. Races are intended for both amateur and well trained teams. We will be racing in several cups for the trophies.

Like in previous years we are expecting an international race and we will warmly welcome teams from Germany, Slovakia and Czech republic as well.

The Europe one and only Tanjung-Pinang cup - indonesian boats race - will be held too. The unique indonesian boats that our club owns as the only club in Europe will once again be decorated and will sail on the 600 meters long tract to test the racing teams for strength and endurance.

Announced races
- 250 meters of Hong-Kong style boats
- a women race on this track will presented as well!
- long distance 1000 meters race with a turn
- The "Tanjung-Pinang" cup - Indonesian boats race for 600 meters with a turn
- recessive race of pulling the boat
- and the very famous and very loved competition "O nejzapalenejsi tym" (The most enthusiastic team), a challenge for the teams to be the team with greatest team spirit, with the deepest sense for fair-play, with the most beautiful costumes, with the strongest voice or simply making the best fun.

Festival program is still open. We are still improving and filling in the program to bring you not only the well organized event but also new experience, inspiration and lots of fun with other dragons.
