Our team is back in Czech rep
The Tanjung Pinang dragon boat race is over and our team is now back home. They are recowering from the jet lag and from the huge amount of new experience. But the first words from Blanka - the captain - we bring to you right now:
"THAT, what we experienced is very hard do describe, that is realy a personal experience - the race atmosphere, talks to news, the radio appearence, the training with the last year winner, the school visit, the dragon boat factory visit, the dinner with the mayor mrs. Suryatati, the journey to Tricora beach, the jungle trek - just a few from all what we have done..."
So much the first word from the team captain. We hope we will able to bring you more photos and more reports with eyewitness from the representative team who fought for the czech republic at the Tanjung Pinang dragon boat race.
Actualization
Prague 18.11.2010
The team did not have just the official program. The had also time to relax, to enjoy and to explore Indonesia. So here you have a few pictures from the time of relaxation. Of the graetest relaxations is the local rich cuisine. Thefore the food is also considered as relaxation. Either the offical dinner with the mayor that was held for all the participating teams or the unoficial at the Melayu market, where during the day you can buy anything and in the evening you can eat anything there. From the last part of the expedition we have just one picture. The last word from our team were: "We left for the beach..." We wish then beautiful weather for the rest, warm sand on the beach and refreshing waves of the ocean..
Its all over in Tanjung Pinang! We do not know what rank did our team archived. But we can look forward to the moment we will it out. But i think we will first know this when the team will come back to czech republic. Right now we just few pictures from their activities there. In the agenda of making new friends was our "Tim ceko" (gathered mainly from the high-school teachers of the Smíchovská průmyslovka v Praze) on a visit at a school in Tanjung Pinang. The team was warm welcome by the teachers and the students as well. It was a visit from the largerst distance for them. Another nice experience was a radio interview given by the team members and the mayor of Tanjung-Pinang in local Green- radio. We dont know about the interview - if it was about something green, about czech beer or about poetry - but for sure it was a good oportunity to attract more people to dragon boats and the dragon boat festival.
